If you want to see the three most beautiful parks in northern Tanzania, our 8 day safari is the perfect option. You will start your safari in the kingdom of the elephants, Tarangire National Park. Visit the famous Serengeti, home to an abundance of wildlife as well as the impressive wildebeest migration. And the striking Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder with the world’s highest concentration wildlife. These are two of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders you can witness on this amazing safari.

Day 1 Arrival

Upon arrival at the airport you’ll be met by your driver who will be waiting for you at arrivals. You will drive to your accommodation in Arusha, and on a clear day, you may have views of Kilimanjaro en route. After a long day travelling, you may want to rest, but if you want to keep yourself busy until the evening, we can arrange a city tour or other experiences dependent on your interests.

After an early breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands. The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet. Tarangire is the best place to see these gentle giants in their natural habitat – from the adorable calves all the way up to the intimidating bulls After Lunch and an extensive game drive.

After breakfast, you will travel via the cooler highlands towards the southern Serengeti and at midday you will reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park. This park is the largest in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes – short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. The Serengeti is famous for the yearly migration when hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water. You will spend the night at the lodge inside of the park.

Today you will go on a full-day game drive witnessing the greatest animal migration on the planet. After an early breakfast in your lodge in Serengeti, you will drive to Northern Serengeti. The magic of Serengeti National Park is not easy to describe in words. Not only seeing, but also hearing the buzz of millions of wildebeest so thick in the air that it vibrates through your entire body, is something you will try to describe to friends and family, before realizing it’s impossible. Vistas of honey-lit plains at sunset are so beautiful, that it’s worth the trip just to witness this. You will carry your packed lunch which you will enjoy when making a pit stop in your safari vehicle. After lunch, you continue with the game drive. By late afternoon, you will head back to your lodge to rest, dine and cherish the wonderful moments.

Today you continue your safari in the Northern Serengeti national park. Its stunning landscape can be seen in some of the most impressive nature documentaries. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The annual wildebeest migration with more than a million wildebeest is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Together with your private guide you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park. If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you to go on a balloon safari. It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife.

After breakfast, you will head straight to the central Serengeti National Park. The drive takes almost 2 hours and you will return to Seronera with further opportunities to experience the incredible wildlife and natural beauty of the Serengeti. you will get another opportunity to experience the vast wilderness while heading to the central Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti National Park in Tanzania was established in 1951. It is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth - the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. The resident population of lion, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and birds is also impressive. You will have dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, drive out of the Serengeti and on to Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. Sometimes described as an ‘eighth wonder of the world’, the Crater has achieved world renown, attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors each year. You are unlikely to escape other vehicles here, but you are guaranteed great wildlife viewing in a genuinely mind-blowing environment. There is nowhere else in Africa quite like Ngorongoro! One of the best places in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros, the park is home to the entirety of the big five and the endangered Rhino and large population of lions, herds of wildebeest and zebras and is a particularly good place to see the cape buffalo year-round. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Late afternoon drive to Maasai Eco Boma for dinner and overnight.

Activities and programs offered at Maasai Eco Boma are culturally rich and exciting: • visiting a Maasai traditional healer • visiting a Maasai midwife • visiting a Maasai blacksmith • Maasai village tour • Maasai singing and dancing • fetching water and collecting firewood • milking cattle • traditional storytelling around an evening bonfire • beading with Maasai women • visiting the huts of Maasai families After the activities drive back to Arusha arriving in time for lunch and last minute shopping and re-packing. Transfer to the airport.
